Dog and Cat Comedy
It all really began with these guys →
Several years ago my wife, Kathy suggested a book about the antics of our Jack Russell Terrier, Spot and our Abyssinian cat, Cecil. However, I wanted to appeal to a larger audience - and thus the idea of a comedy cat and dog website was born. I knew that we needed lots of videos, so I've gotten us started with several HollywoodComedyDog videos starring our new Jack Russell Terrier, Jake.
I also missed the camaraderie of working on a TV show and understood that if the site was going to grow - if there was going to be even more funny, original dog and cat videos - and if the Dog and Cat TV Show was going to happen, no way could I do it all alone. -
That's where You Guys come in.
By way of explanation about the TV show: I believe there is a huge opportunity in network and/or cable television for a reality based, celebrity hosted, dog and cat comedy show. I also know there is a lot of undiscovered talent out there - possibly you? So, a new, nationwide, comedy Dog and Cat TV Show will be one of our goals.
We lost Spot in 2012 and now Jake has come to live with us. Jake, a natural born canine comedian has become a video star and our Official Comedy Dog.

Jake and Kathy
I'll keep you updated as to how were all doing.

A Little About Ted Bergman
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA. I sold my first TV script, The Munsters, while still in college, yet girls continued to ignore me. A short time later I became the youngest staff writer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, earning an Emmy nomination which I've never quite lived up to. My producing and writing credits range from The Hollywood Squares to All in the Family, Sanford and Son, What's Happening, Gimme a Break, The Garry Shandling Show and way too many unsold pilots like, Who Needs Friends?! and The al-Qaida Comedy Hour.
In the mid 90s, unable to take a deep breath or make a left turn, I and family moved from Los Angeles to Sebastopol, California, in the heart of the Napa Sonoma wine country.

Humor Disclaimer
At no time will I, or anyone associated with this show do anything that intentionally demeans, disrespects or causes harm to any animal or person. No, your dog isn't a "Faded fleabag" (see Taco Bell Chihuahua.) However, we do go for the joke here. If the often silly, irreverent tone of our show makes you uncomfortable, I most sincerely apologize and suggest you go somewhere more to your taste.
